@@MENUH
To move between the various ^x0AMenu Choices^n
you may use the ^x0CLeft^n and ^x0CRight^n Arrow
Keys.
To select a ^x0AMenu Item^n, press ^x0CEnter^n
when the ^x0AItem^n you wish to select is
highlighted.
You may select a ^x0AMenu Item^n and have that
selection executed immediately by
typing the first character of the ^x0AMenu^n
^x0AItem^n's Name.
If the current screen displayed is the
^x0AMain User Screen^n and you are not actually
editing the screen, you may toggle the
display of the ^x0ATop^n or ^x0ABottom^n
portion of the screen by pressing the
^x0CS^n key. This will bring the bottom
portion of the screen into view if it
is not already viewable, and the top
portion of the screen into view, if the
bottom portion is currently being
displayed.
@@EDIT
Edit User allows you to edit the record
of the currently displayed User.
@@ADD
Add User allows you to add a new User to
the database.
@@DEL
Pressing the Del Key or selecting Del
User will delete the currently displayed
user from the database.
@@TOGGLE
Pressing I or selecting Toggle Index will
change the active index so that you may
view the Users either by Name or Level.
@@SEARCH
Search For User allows you to locate a
user by First and Last Name.
@@LOCATE
Locate User allows you to locate a user
by Last Name.
@@FIND_HANDLE
Find Handle allows you to locate a user
that is using a specific Handle.
@@REGIS_USER
Register Users allows you to register
all of your Users in a specific Forum or
a group of Forums.
@@UNREGIS_USER
UnRegister Users allows you to Unregister
all of your Users in a specific Forum or
a group of Forums.
@@REGIS_LEVEL
Register Users By Level allows you to
Register Users that have a specific
security level in a Forum or a group of
Forums.
@@SUB_ALL
Update All Users allows you to change
the Subscription Date for all of your
Users.
@@SUB_FORUM
Update Users In Forum allows you to
change the Subscription Date for all
Users that are members of a specific
Forum.
@@SUB_LEVEL
Update Users By Level allows you to
change the Subscription Date for all
Users with a specific security level.
@@SUB_EXPLEV
Change Expired Level allows you to change
the Expired Subscription Level for all
Users who have the Expired Level you
provide.
@@RESET_LAST
Reset Pointers will set the Last Read
Message Numbers for all Users in all
Areas to 0.
@@CHANGE_LEVEL
Security Level will change the security
level for Users that have a specific
level.
@@LEVEL_UP
Level By Uploads will change the security
level of any User that has Uploaded a
specified number of files.
@@LEVEL_MES
Level By Messages will change the
security level of any User that has left
a specified number of messages.
@@SORT
Sort will perform a physical sort of the
user file, arranging users by Security
Level and Last Name.
@@REP_LIST
User Listing will produce a listing of
all of your Users.
@@REP_EXP
Expired Subscription will produce a
report listing any User who's subscrip-
tion has expired or is about to expire.
@@REP_DAYS
Subscription By Days will produce a
report listing any User who's subscrip-
tion will expired in a specified number
of days.
@@FIRST
This is the User's First Name. The first
character of the name must be an
alphabetic character.
@@LAST
This is the User's Last Name. The first
character of the name must be an
alphabetic character.
@@PASS
This is the password the User must use in
order to gain access to the system.
@@ADDRESS
This is the User's street address. The
first address line may also be used to
hold the User's Company Name if
appropriate.
@@CITY
This is the User's home town.
@@STATE
This is the User's State or Province.
@@ZIP
This is the User's Zip or Postal Code.
@@COUNTRY
This is the User's Country. This field
defaults to the Sysop's Country as set
up in Configuration.
@@HPHONE
This is the User's Home Phone number.
@@BPHONE
This is the User's Business or Data
Phone number.
@@BIRTH
This is the User's date of Birth.
@@REGIS_DATE
This is the date the User first became a
member of the board.
@@SUB_DATE
This is the date the User's Subscription
expires. If you do not run a subscription
board, this date has no meaning.
@@HANDLE
This is the alias the User is using (if
appropriate).
@@COMMENT
You may enter any information about the
User in this field. The user will never
see this information.
@@LEVEL
This is the User's Security Level. Access
rights, based upon security levels, are
defined in your SECLEV file (which you
configure in GAPSETUP).
@@LASTDATE
This is the date the User was last on the
system.
@@LASTTIME
This is the time the User was last on the
system.
@@PRIVATE
If you run a Subscription Board, no user
will be allowed onto the system unless
the user's Private User Flag is set to
Yes. This field has no meaning if you do
not run a subscription board.
@@ENF_TIME
Time limits per session and/or day are
configured in your SECLEV file. Whether
or not you allow users to call back an
unlimited number of times per day is
set by a flag in configuration. If you
generally do not allow users to call
back after their time has expired, you
may override that function for any
particular user by setting this field to
No.
Note that time limits per session are
still enforced. In other words, if you
give a user 50 minutes per session, the
user will still be limited to 50 minutes
but you may allow a particular user to
call back an unlimited number of times
and receive the full 50 minute time
allotment, by setting this field to No.
@@EDITOR
This field allows you to set the default
Message Editor the User will be prompted
to use just prior to entering a message.
Set this field to either V or L for
Visual or Line Editor.
@@CHAT
This is the default Network Chat
preferance for the User. This field has
no meaning if you are running a single
user system.
If the User wishes to automatically be
made Unavalable for Chat, set this field
to No.
@@MSGCLR
If set to Yes, GAP will clear the screen
between each message that is displayed.
@@EXPERT
If set to Yes, the User will be in Expert
mode and GAP will not display the Main
Menu.
@@PROTOCOL
This is the Protocol Letter representing
the User's Default Protocol.
@@PAGE
This is the User's Page Length (the
number of lines that will be displayed
on the screen before a More Prompt is
issued.
@@EXPIRED
If you run a Subscription Board and a
User's Subscription has Expired, the User
is normally set back to the default
Expired Subscription Level as set up in
Configuration. You can override the
default level and enter a level to set
the user back to here.
@@EXPIRED_FOR
If you run a Subscription Board and a
User's Subscription has Expired, the User
is normally removed from all the Forums
such that the User will only be able to
join the Public Forums. If you do not
want this to happen to this particular
User, set this field to No.
@@CREDITS
This field represents any time credits
a User may have. It can be either a
positive or negative number.
@@DISCON
This field shows how many times this User
has dropped carrier instead of using
GoodBy to log off the system.
@@LAST_FORUM
This is the number of the last Forum the
User was in when he/she logged off.
@@NEW_MES
This field is used internally by GAP and
specifies if the User has any new mail in
the Main Board. This field should not be
changed.
@@LAST_DIR
This is the date the User did a New Files
Scan.
@@TIMESON
This is the number of times the User has
logged onto the system.
@@TTLMINS
This is the total number of minutes the
user has spent on the system.
@@CURMINS
This is the number of minutes the User
has been on the system today (or on the
last date the User was on).
@@LASTMSG
This is the number of the last Main Board
message the User read.
@@MES_READ
This is the total number of messages the
User has read.
@@MES_LEFT
This is the total number of messages the
User has left.
